What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Product Development Engineer position at ConsultNet?
A Grand Rapids based manufacturer that just recently went through a large expansion is seeking a Product Development Engineer. This position will have a strong focus on the electrical side, namely with IOT protocols.
Purpose :
Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of electronic products that enhance conveyor systems. Utilize expertise in IoT and electronics to create smart, connected solutions that improve performance, efficiency, and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic components and IoT capabilities seamlessly into products.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3 years in electronic product development, with IoT focus; experience in industrial applications is a plus.
- Proficiency in circuit design, PCB layout, IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, Wi-Fi), and tools like Altium Designer or MATLAB.
