The role of a Manufacturing Engineer is to evaluate and improve manufacturing systems by analyzing processes, systems, and product designs to eliminate waste and recommend areas for improvement.
About the Job:
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing systems to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze processes, systems, and product designs to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the production team to drive continuous improvements and implement new systems and processes.
Requirements:
- 5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in process improvement or waste reduction projects.
- Proven problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Bonus/Soft Skills:
- Experience with business intelligence tools to analyze data and identify opportunities.
- Experience with assembly process improvement, including work instruction development, line balancing, and operator training.
- Knowledge of capital equipment advancements, including ROI justification.
- Ability to manage and champion continuous improvement projects from start to finish.
- CAD skills.
- Experience in metal fabrication process improvement (e.g., laser/punch, forming, welding/finishing) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
