Medical Biller (eCW & Medicaid Experience Required)
Job Type : Part-Time / Contract.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures, along with experience working with eClinicalWorks (eCW), Medicaid billing, and insurance provider certifications. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to resolve billing issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and verify the accuracy of medical documentation, including medical records, encounter forms, and patient data.
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) software to enter coded data and process billing claims.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on claims for Medicaid and private insurance reimbursement.
- Resolve claim denials or issues by researching discrepancies, communicating with insurance companies, and correcting any documentation errors.
- Assist in the certification of providers and clinics for participation with private insurance plans.
- Maintain patient financial records with high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure correct coding practices and proper documentation.
- Stay current on industry regulations, billing changes, and coding updates to ensure compliance.
