What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator, International Programs position at Consumer Technology Association?
Basic Function of the Position:
The International Programs Coordinator will provide very detailed administrative, operational, and budget support for CTA’s events outside the U.S. and support international programs aimed at growing international attendance at CES in Las Vegas.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
CES International Events
- Serve as a supporting contributor to a larger team that is tasked with building, growing and executing events
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to execute the marketing, operations and sales efforts for events
- Maintaining databases and assisting with the development timelines for key projects and ensure timelines are adhered to
- Support the administrative needs of the event production efforts.
- Provide assistance with budget tracking, processing invoices, and legal contracts.
International Programs at CES in Las Vegas
- Support the CES international delegation program at CES where needed including delegation registration, the delegation dinner and daily outreach
- Assist with the development and expansion of international focused conference programming at CES
- Support the International Business Centers onsite at CES (IBCs) including catering, planning, and staffing.
- Support the International Team in facilitating foreign government officials presence at CES
- Assist with the development of a program to promote CES to the embassy community in DC
Work Experience:
- 2 years of relevant program, operations, or administrative experience. Event management experience preferred.
Education/Training:
- B.A./B.S. or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess excellent communication and organization skills and have a high level of attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, particularly on the telephone.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, and the ability to work reliably on complex projects with tight deadlines
- Should be able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Proactive in maintaining workload and actively seeks new projects or improvements where needed
- Be the “compass” for the International Team maintaining timelines and deadlines.
- NOTE: This is an operational and administrative role and requires intense attention to detail.
Additional Information
- Travel to CES in Las Vegas required in early January
- International travel as required
