Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst / Business Analyst to join our team in the healthcare payer industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collaborating with stakeholders, defining user stories, and creating acceptance criteria, with a solid understanding of healthcare payer processes and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Facilitate Agile / Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
- Utilize Jira and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration.
- Perform intermediate SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and validation (e.g., using joins and distinct queries).
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights; experience with SAS is strongly preferred.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
- Analyze and translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights.
- Engage in periodic onsite meetings in Newark, NJ (2 days per week).
Qualifications
o Proficiency in SQL (query building, joins, distinct, etc.).
o Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
o Experience with data analysis tools; SAS preferred.
