Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Legal Conflicts Resolution Specialist to join our client. This fully remote position requires candidates to be local to Philadelphia, PA, as onsite training and occasional in-person attendance may be needed. The role focuses on conducting conflict of interest searches, reviewing reports, and collaborating with attorneys and staff to ensure compliance with firm policies and professional responsibility rules.
Compensation:
- $65,000/year, dependent on experience.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, normal business hours.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Conflicts Resolution Specialist:
- Conduct thorough conflict of interest searches for new clients, cases, and lateral hires using internal databases.
- Relay conflict results from vendors to Partners and stakeholders for review—this role does not involve making judgment calls but rather organizing and presenting findings.
- Review conflict reports for missing or unique information and communicate necessary guidance to attorneys and staff.
- Maintain and update the firm's conflict database, ensuring accuracy and consistency in client and matter information.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and professional responsibility regulations for new business and hires.
- Manage multiple conflict cases, aiming to resolve each fully before moving on to the next, handling approximately 65 conflicts per day.
- Work closely with attorneys, the conflicts team, and support staff to promptly address and resolve conflict issues.
- Balance conflict resolution responsibilities with additional tasks, distributing workload with another team member based on bandwidth.
- Records & Rating Files: Review completed billing sheets and apply rate codes (not responsible for modifying rates).
- Origination Credits: Process and analyze referral-related credits to ensure compliance with firm guidelines.
