Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our client in Kennett Square, PA! This permanent opportunity offers $70,000-$100,000 annually. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining efficient and accurate financial processes, contributing to a streamlined accounting environment. This individual will assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audits while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly and annual closing processes for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain various schedules integral to financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Create and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate on annual audit preparation and compile required documentation.
- Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
- Monitor general ledger activity to ensure data integrity and alignment with company policies.
- Conduct special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5–7 years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software (experience with Sage is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams.
