Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their warehouse operations. This onsite, temporary-to-hire position based in Mt. Laurel Township, NJ, focuses on ensuring accurate and timely shipping and receiving processes, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting overall logistics efficiency.
Compensation:
- $21/hour
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk:
- Handle inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all items are received and sent accurately and on schedule.
- Keep the warehouse organized by efficiently managing space and monitoring inventory levels.
- Oversee return processes (RMAs), including inspecting items, updating stock records, and working with customer service for resolutions.
- Carefully package items for shipment to ensure products arrive safely and intact.
- Support a safe and tidy workspace by following company guidelines and OSHA safety standards.
- Work closely with the logistics team to streamline day-to-day operations and enhance workflow.
- Take on other warehouse-related tasks and projects as directed by the Logistics Manager.
Qualifications and Skills for the Shipping Clerk:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer and MS Office knowledge.
- Physical ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push, or pull.
- Visual acuity including close, distance, and color vision, and depth perception.
