Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing all human resources activities. This includes, but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, Safety, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process including placing advertisements, interviewing, and pre-employment testing.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Provide and explain benefit information to employees when they become eligible.
- Oversee performance management and review process.
- Assess and respond to high level employee relations issues including employee misconduct, harassment and discrimination, handle disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data.
- Maintains compliance with and advise on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop policies and procedures including the maintenance of the Employee Handbook.
- Serve as a contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures and employee benefits.
- Serve as the Safety Coordinator including maintenance and improvements to all safety programs, training and documentation, worker’s comp and OSHA requirement.
- Develop, implement and coordinate employee and leadership development training and resources.
- Serve as the human resources process leader for ISO standards and process improvements.
- Promote a positive workplace culture and team philosophy environment.
- Perform other tasks as warranted or assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years of Human Resources management experience.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- The ability to communicate with both internal and external customers characterized by honest, professional, respectful communication (verbally & in writing) and effective listening skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Organization and records management skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Knowledge of employee benefits.
- Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Self-starter and ability to work effectively with team members.
- High level of dependability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
