What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Continental Manufacturing?
The HR Generalist will focus on supporting and engaging with our front-line team and leaders! In addition to general HR support this role will champion payroll processing, time entry, and benefits administration for all CMC employees. A key responsibility of this role will be interacting with CMC employees and providing support with questions, updates, and edits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Conduct new hire orientations to explain benefits and enrollment procedures.
- Consult with team members regarding HR questions, concerns, and issues.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
- Provide support to employees regarding time entry questions and issues.
- Review time sheets and resolve discrepancies in time entries.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to all employees.
- Handle administration of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and concerns.
- Assist in audits and reporting related to payroll and benefits.
- Provide general HR administrative support and assist with special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; 3 years of relevant experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Previous experience in human resources, payroll processing, and benefits administration is required.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred
- Comfortable navigating and utilizing software systems (HRIS & Payroll ideal)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
