Continental Maritime of San Diego, a Titan company, is a certified Master Ship Repair Contractor for the U.S. Navy. Our skilled professionals have performed hundreds of ship repairs for the Navy and Military Sealift Command. CMSD does repair on all types of major surface vessels including CVN, CG, and DDG, and all types of amphibious ships including LHD, LHA, LSD, LPD, and auxiliary ships. Our work also includes repairs and alterations to a wide range of Combatant, Hull, Mechanical and Electrical, and Habitability Systems.
Position Specifics
Continental Maritime of San Diego is currently in search of an experienced Cost Estimating Analyst 2 to help support our operations. The Cost Estimating Analyst 2 is responsible for estimating labor and material costs bases on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. The Cost Estimating Analyst 2 compiles data by utilizing applicable company software and/or input provided by the Estimating Supervisor, as directed. This individual also analyzes the data and informs the Estimating Supervisor of any potential issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a DBIDS credential is required
Physical Requirements
- Normally assigned to perform work in an office environment. Only electrical hazards and other minor potential hazards normally found in an office environment are anticipated.
- May be required to travel to job sites or other offices. May be exposed to paint fumes, welding, and other shipboard of shore-based hazards.
- Ability to move up to 10 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
