Day program coaches will assist participants who are diagnosed with intellectual disabilities with vocational interests that align with their desires, abilities, and skills. Day program coaches must be compassionate, professional and possess the ability to work with a diverse population.
Job Description
● Work with client on a one-to-one basis daily.
● Implement client’s objectives and behavior support plans as instructed.
● Assist with dressing, feeding, ambulating, brief changes, incontinence care.
● Assist clients with their personal care needs (ADLs) as necessary to maintain hygiene.
● Report all incidents, behaviors, and occurrences to Supervisor and on to progress notes packet in the indicated section daily.
● Read clients ISP and understand their target behaviors, objectives, and target goals.
● Collect client’s behaviors instances daily onto Behavior Data Sheet.
● Work with clients to meet their target goals which includes socialization, choice-making, community integration, sensory stimulation, and communication skills.
● Utilize effective oral/written communication
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and persons with developmental disabilities
● Maintain confidentiality
● Ability to follow instructions and submit all reports in a timely manner

● Multiple locations. Anaheim, Santa Ana, and Yorba Linda

● Day Program Coach: 9am-3pm Monday-Friday

Position Requirements For DSP/Day Program Coach
● Valid California ID in good standing
● Successful clearance of background check
● A reliable, responsible attitude
● A compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do
● Proof of negative TB test or negative chest x-ray
● Adult CPR/First Aide
● Two forms of ID compliant with I-9 requirements
● DSP1 to be completed within the first year, DSP2 within the second year
● Proof of Covid Vaccination
● Negative Covid Test prior to first day of work
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 per hour
