We are looking for candidates that not only have detailed experience painting, but can also perform the necessary preparations required prior to painting including:
- Patching
- Spackling
- Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler
- Carpet cleaning
- Maintaining a clean and professional work space.

Maintenance is one of the most important parts of managing an apartment community.
It is the Maintenance Technician who not only helps residents by repairing a leaky faucet or fixing the air conditioner to provide relief during those hot summer days, they are the ones who put residents at ease with their customer service skills and knowledge expertise. It is the Maintenance team who keeps the community running smoothly and provides a comfortable home for our residents. As a Maintenance Technician, you will work to ensure that the physical aspect of the apartment community meets company standards and applicable laws.
You will assist in diagnosing problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural and appliance. Property Maintenance is a 24/7 job.
Qualifications Desired to be Successful in this Role:
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous job experience:
- Property Maintenance, Maintenance Assistance, Contractors (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general, painters, etc.), Construction workers, hotel management maintenance.
- You must be able to provide 2-3 former job references upon applying for this position. References will be checked before scheduling interviews.
Communication and Customer Service:
- We are seeking a friendly, team player to join our small property management team. You will work with closely with our residents, leasing agents, painter, cleaners, maintenance supervisors, and property managers on a daily basis to ensure the property is running smoothly and our residents are happy.
- You must be able to provide consistent and detailed written & oral follow up on pending work orders to our office staff.
- You must possess the ability to explain solutions to residents and answer their questions upon completing a work order.
- You must be comfortable with calling residents, speaking to residents about their work order requests, and following up on repairs or completed work.
- You must have the ability to communicate proficiently and professionally in English.
Job Duties (including but not limited to):
- Inspecting: Regularly checking buildings, systems, and equipment for potential issues
- Troubleshooting: Determining what repairs are needed
- Repairing: Making repairs, such as fixing drywall, doors, or flooring, or repairing faulty equipment/appliances
- Maintaining: Performing routine and preventative maintenance on building systems - including maintaining the pool during the summer season
- Cleaning: Keeping facilities and equipment clean; ensuring pet waste stations are clean and stocked, picking up any litter on the property, etc.
- Ordering: Getting supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance; communicating with your manager when you need a part ordered in a timely manner
- Documenting: Keeping a maintenance log and writing shift reports
- Following rules: Complying with local and state building codes, company safety regulations, and quality standards
This position does not require snow removal or landscaping. In the winter, maintenance will help salt walkways, if needed, and help shovel walkways while waiting for our snow removal company to arrive.
