Job Brief
We are looking for a Physician Substitute for our Blood and Plasma Centers in Miami and Fort Lauderdale (LPN, RN EMT) to support our donor services operation. We’re looking for someone who has organization skills, exceptional customer service skills, works well in a fast-paced environment, is detailed oriented, and is seeking a position that has opportunity for growth. Continental Services Group, is an established and stable biologicals' supplier focused on the collection and manufacturing of blood and blood components for diagnostic and research use. We service pharmaceutical and research companies all over the world from our two facilities, located in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead and control DS team efforts to develop plasma program goals.
- Provides guidelines to other team members following company policies.
- Contributes to onboarding, training, developing fellow donor services employees.
- Contribute to maintaining and updating the key tasks and issues of the Quality Management System (QMS) that are assigned.
- Promotes positive customer relations with all Donors
- Performs health assessments for Source Plasma Donors.
- Qualifies plasma donor eligibility in accordance to FDA requirements
- Ensures the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the SOPs.
- Handles medical emergencies at the Center or elevates situations to Center Physician or local medical service providers as required
- Maintains clean efficient work environment, and ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
- Follows all Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Promotes safety in all actions. May conduct routine audits of these internal procedures and documentation.
- May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business.
- Cultivates a climate of trust and compassion for the Donors
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills
- Must have EMT, LPN or RN license
- Must have average computer skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Problem solving skills and ability to multitask
- Required to wear PPE while performing specific tasks or in certain areas
- Required to work overtime and extended hours to support operational needs
- Team player with good communication skills
- Caring and Compassionate
- Fluent English is required; Spanish is a plus!
