Job Description
YOUR TASKS
This role is responsible for inspecting tires and semi-products to ensure compliance with Continental Tire WW quality and safety standards, identifying and addressing non-conformities, and maintaining accurate documentation and data entry. It also includes tasks such as error-proofing verification and waste classification to support overall quality assurance efforts.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Perform tire inspections to ensure compliance with Continental Tire WW quality standards and control plans.
- Apply knowledge of off-standard criteria and QMS standards (ISO/TS16949, CCC) during inspections.
- Identify and act on non-conformities by notifying personnel, halting processes, and blocking materials as needed.
- Complete required documentation, including over-inspection checklists and daily quality reports.
- Enter inspection and quality data into electronic SPC systems.
- Conduct error-proofing verifications and ensure proper quality procedures are followed.
- Weigh, classify, and record data on waste materials in the designated collection area.
- Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure
- Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
THE ENVIRONMENT
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection, safety shoes, safety glasses (as needed)
- 12-hour 2-2-3 pattern (panama) shift 6:45am-7:00pm including every other weekend and overtime as needed
- Training schedule could potentially be on a different pattern
- This job has exposure to high temperatures. You may be exposed forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise
- This role starts at $20.70 an hour. If internal candidates are offered, pay may change depending on current hourly rate
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work assigned shift for this position
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting
