What are the responsibilities and job description for the VAS Packing Associate position at Continental?
Your tasks
THE POSITION
- Operate packaging equipment (i.e. LNA laser neutralization machine) used to support packaging process and product modifications by following work and routing instructions and standard operation procedures to contribute to consistent improvement of our processes.
- Operate downdraft table and poly bag sealer used to support packaging process and product modifications by following work and routing instructions and standard operation procedures to contribute to consistent improvement of our processes.
- Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Complete daily checklist for maintenance/usage of equipment.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure the correct processing of orders and adhere to Continental’s quality policy in relation to packaging and assembly of product in VAS.
- Maintain accurate counts of product packaged and report packaging times and quantities on VAS time ticket form.
- Utilize computers and programming software to program product as needed.
- Package product individually or in master cartons to fulfill customer requirements.
- Print and apply labels as required for product or shipment identification using computer.
- Palletize and label product as required following work instructions.
- Utilize Pallet jacks when necessary.
- Cut cardboard and load baler with cardboard for recycling, as assigned.
- Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines to ensure all safety requirement are met.
- Perform all other activities as directed by your supervisor.
Your profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3-6 months of warehouse/distribution/manufacturing experience.
- SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge a plus
