Description
Continuant is a Managed Services Provider and Systems Integrator, offering multi-OEM legacy support and solutions for Unified Communications (UC) and AV systems. We have an exciting opportunity for a Tier 1 Cisco Collaboration Engineer to join our team.
This entry-level engineering role is ideal for individuals eager to grow their skills in Cisco voice and collaboration technologies while providing essential operational support. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and develop their technical expertise in a mentoring environment.
Job Duties:

Perform basic Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACDs) for phone systems.

Conduct low-level Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT) alert verification and escalate issues as needed.

Follow established workflows to assist with configuration changes under the guidance of Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers.

Document work performed in ticketing systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Receive mentorship to build technical capabilities in Cisco Unified Communications.

Assist in monitoring customer environments and identifying potential issues using provided tools.

Collaborate with the Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams to resolve incidents and improve processes.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Entry-level certifications such as CCNA Collaboration or equivalent are a plus.

Basic knowledge of Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) for general administration tasks, such as user management and phone provisioning.

Familiarity with tools such as RTMT for basic monitoring and alert verification.

Strong organizational skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.

Willingness to learn and grow technical skills under supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
-
Exposure to Cisco Unity Connection (CUC) and SIP Trunking is a plus.

Basic understanding of TCP/IP and VoIP.

Experience using ticketing platforms like ServiceNow is beneficial.
