We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our Long-Term Care Pharmacy team. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee all pharmacy activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide exceptional customer service to long-term care and assisted-living facilities. This position requires strong leadership skills, pharmacy expertise, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee daily activities of pharmacists, technicians, and filling/delivery operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulations from the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Provide customer service to resolve service issues with long-term care facilities.
- Process physician orders, refill requests, and new patient admissions.
- Utilize IT and pharmacy systems effectively.
- Conduct final checks of prescriptions and controlled medications.
- Ensure employee satisfaction and maintain proper oversight.
- Maintain proper inventory levels to meet company and facility needs.
- Travel to facilities and other destinations as needed.
- Maintain oversight of department operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree of Pharmacy or PharmD/Rph certification.
- 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred.
- 2 years of Long-Term Care Pharmacy experience desired.
- 1 year of experience in managing employees preferred.
- General pharmacy knowledge and basic computer skills required.
- Active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state.
- Strong leadership abilities and team management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills required.
- Ability to make independent decisions and work well with others.
- Proficiency in training and supervisory techniques.
- Capability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
