As a Housing Coordinator/Case Manager, you will provide direct support to individuals and families looking for housing. You will work closely with clients to assess their housing search needs and connect them with available resources and services in the community. This is in-office work, with some fieldwork to assist clients in navigating housing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify housing barriers, provide housing counseling and create housing transition plans.
Assist clients in accessing financial assistance programs, legal aid, and other community resources.
Maintain accurate case notes and documentation using client management software.
Liaise with landlords, service providers, and community organizations to support clients housing goals.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development and improvement efforts.
Requirements
Experience with county forms and systems.
Passion for working in housing support and serving vulnerable populations.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Helping the person meet and build a relationship with a prospective landlord
Proficiency in using case management software and basic computer applications.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Assisting the person with the housing search and application process
Previous experience in housing stabilization, social services, or case management.
Familiarity with housing laws, tenant rights, and local housing resources.
Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from low-income backgrounds, those experiencing homelessness, and those with mental health or substance use challenges.
Bilingual or multilingual skills are helpful.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
