Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Lawn Detail Technician to maintain weed-free landscaped beds and hard surface areas. You will be responsible for hand weeding, pruning, and using spray applications safely, as well as general equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Landscaped Bed Maintenance:
- Keep landscaped beds weed-free and clear of debris through regular hand weeding and pruning.
- Safely utilize spray applications when required.
- Equipment Care:
- Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment.
- Pesticide Certification:
- Maintain certification for commercial pesticide application (training and assistance provided).
- Route and Schedule Management:
- Drive a designated route and communicate daily with management regarding job site schedules.
- Safety Compliance:
- Conduct all work in compliance with EPA guidelines and MDARD regulations.
- Maintain a safe work environment for team members, clients, the public, and the environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial lawn maintenance or landscape field work.
- Familiarity with backpack spraying equipment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow daily schedule updates.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Certified Pesticide Applicator is preferred but not required (willing to train).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, talk, bend, stretch, pull, push, and lift items up to 50 lbs.
