Account Management Director
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Account Management Director to oversee inventory operations, customer relations, and compliance across multiple warehouse locations. This role requires strong leadership, expertise in inventory management, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including customs authorities, brokers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing both operational and regulatory responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Logistics Management
- Oversee inventory control and maintenance across six warehouse locations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating with site managers for seamless operations.
- Assist in the selection, implementation, and integration of inventory management software and IT systems.
- Provide site managers with accurate packing lists for inbound loads and outbound pull sheets and BOLs.
- Manage customer expectations regarding inventory and ensure all inquiries are handled promptly.
- Approve invoices related to job functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial requirements.
- Collaborate with sales managers to track job arrivals and coordinate newly won projects.
Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise the sales management team across multiple locations while working closely with zone specialists.
- Act as the primary liaison between account managers, drivers, dispatch, and customers.
- Maintain direct communication with upper management regarding key site functions and operational directives.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and their representatives to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Ensure all digital documentation is properly stored in job or zone folders for easy reference.
- Maintain up-to-date records, including employee lists, operational manuals, and compliance binders.
Customs & Compliance Management
- Oversee and manage Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) compliance, ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory adherence.
- Assign Zone admission numbers and coordinate with Customs brokers for filing information and FTZ entries.
- Verify Master BOLs and customer details for zone entry accuracy.
- Work closely with Customs authorities on all FTZ-related product entries.
- Ensure proper filing and verification of 216s for manipulation or destruction of zone merchandise.
- Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound inventory, preparing required documentation for Customs spot checks and annual compliance reviews.
- Submit and verify 7512 forms for exported materials and maintain a Master Zone list recording all entry values.
- Prepare for the annual compliance review (October) and submit reports via OFIS.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations or similar regulatory environments (training provided if needed).
- Proven experience in account management, logistics, or operations leadership within a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, FTZ compliance, and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse inventory management systems, ERP, and 3PL systems.
- Proficiency in Excel is beneficial, but inventory system expertise is a higher priority.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle day-to-day customer interactions and operational oversight.
- Experience training and managing a team, particularly in environments where on-the-job training is common.
- Willingness to travel between warehouse locations (within close proximity, except for one site 12 miles out).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
