Responsibilities:
- Oversight and authority for the initiation, preflight planning, delay, and cancelation of every flight.
- Oversight and authority to schedule flight crew members assignments and rest associated with trip and any other assignment deem necessary by the Company, such as training, maintenance, etc.
- Maintain sufficient staffing of System Operations Control personnel to provide adequate operational control, customer services and support efficient operations
- Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of flight coordinators training and qualification records.
- Conducts performance reviews for flight coordinators.
- Responsible for the scheduling of flight coordinators to ensure a person with operational control is on duty.
- Responsible for ensuring all System Operations Control reference materials are current.
- Responsible for the crew planning process and the daily scheduling of flight crew members and flight coordinators.
- Provides planning coordination of flight crew member travel, ground transportation and hotel accommodation requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all flight crew members rest, duty, and flight time limitations are compliant with all applicable federal regulations including 14 CFR 135.263, 14 CFR 135.267, and 14 CFR 135.267(c).
- Responsible for designating the pilot-in-command for each flight
- Responsible for designating the second-in-command for each flight requiring two (2) pilots.
- Responsible to ensure each flight is assigned at least the minimum flight crew specified for that aircraft and required by the kind of operation being conducted.
- Responsible for performing flight locating procedures in accordance with Company policy.
- Point of contact for accounting communications.
- Responsible for administering System Operations Control personnel payroll and benefit reporting.
- Responsible for timely payroll submission for flight crew members and flight coordinator Holiday/Day Rate assignment.
- Responsible for tracking aircraft usage and owner summaries.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
- Be at least 23 years of age.
- Posses a FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate or have aviation operational experience is required.
- Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record.
- Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
- Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
- High School diploma or GED required. College degree preferred but not required.
- Extensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations, aeronautical charts, aviation weather, aircraft performance and flight planning.
- Minimum of one (1) year in aviation or aviation related industry.
- Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Rockwell Collins FOS or similar crew scheduling software familiarity preferred.
- Must be able to work all shifts designated within the System Operations Control center including midnight shifts, weekend, and holiday schedules.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations using both decimals and hours/minutes as well as use of a 24-hour clock.
