Duties
- Evaluate clients' financial backgrounds and credit histories to determine eligibility for loans.
- Assist clients in completing loan applications and gathering necessary documentation.
- Utilize financial software and tools, including Quicken, to analyze client data and prepare loan proposals.
- Negotiate loan terms with clients and lenders to secure favorable conditions.
- Ensure compliance with TILA regulations and other relevant financial guidelines throughout the lending process.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to facilitate timely loan approvals.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the loan process, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Stay informed about industry trends, mortgage products, and changes in regulations that may affect lending practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial services or a related field, preferably as a Loan Officer or in mortgage servicing.
- Strong sales skills with a focus on client satisfaction and relationship building.
- Proficiency in basic math and financial analysis to assess loan applications accurately.
- Familiarity with underwriting processes and criteria is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Experience using financial software tools; knowledge of Quicken is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
