THE POSITION: CCWD is seeking an Account Clerk II to perform a variety of accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, cash balancing, and utility billing. Under general supervision, the position requires independent work, judgment, and initiative. The ideal candidate will have journey-level experience and be capable of handling a full range of accounting tasks with minimal supervision.
The current job opening is for a regular status, part-time (20 hours per week) with pro-rated benefits. This position will be located at our District Center in Concord, CA.

- Preparing incoming invoices for approval, verifying the accuracy of information, and processing approved invoices for payment

- Providing payment updates and information to vendors and District personnel
- Filing biweekly payroll changes, timesheets, paystubs
- Scanning documents into payroll scan or SharePoint
- Sorting/Distributing Paystubs
- Attaching garnishment backups and sending out biweekly handwrites
- Assisting Admin Analyst I with after payroll audit reports
- Assisting Payroll Analyst & Administrative Analyst I in reviewing reports prior to posting and scanning mail
- Reviewing manually entered timesheet batches
- Assisting with projects and functions, as needed supporting the Accounting team as necessary

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas are required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 25 pounds with the use of proper equipment.
