Summary/ObjectiveProduction Operator I is responsible for performing a variety of tasks during the manufacturing of animal health products. This may include mixing, labeling, filling, and packaging of products. Performing routine cleaning of manufacturing equipment and the facility. Assist in performing quality checks and completing written documentation.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of a Production Operator consist of, but not be limited to the follow:
· Responsible for producing products in accordance with their product specifications. This includes inspection of products for defects, verification of label information and legibility, ensuring product count and weight conform to product specification.
· Documentation of production, cleaning, and training processes by completing batch records, logbooks, checklists, and other forms.
· Assist management during production line changeovers and other minor changeover procedures.
· Assemble product parts both manually and with automated or semi-automated equipment.
· Responsible for maintaining a clean and hazard free work environment that complies with all company quality and safety certifications.
· Ability to accept and adapt to production schedule changes to accommodate customer needs.
· Maintain consistently reliable attendance by reporting to work on time every day and returning from daily breaks on time.
· Participate actively in the company’s continuous improvement, safety, and team building programs.
· Recognize and complete tasks which need to be performed although not directly assigned.
· Accepts responsibility and takes accountability for their job performance.
· Establish and maintain a positive, professional, and cooperative working relationship with other employees, contractors, and management.
· Able to perform tasks in a team setting and independently with minimal supervision.
· Perform work assignments in accordance with GMP, GMP , HACCP, and other guidelines while documenting work activities.
· Report any potential environmental, health, or safety hazards to management immediately.

Education and Experience
Required: Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Experience in GMP, GMP , FAMI QS, HACCP, ISO or other quality assurance program
preferred.
Other Requirements
· Lift materials weighing 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
· Capable of standing or sitting for most of the shift
· Climb stairs and climb on and off equipment periodically
· Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform basic math functions.
Work Hours
Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with paid breaks. Overtime is offered periodically before and after normal shift hours or on off days.
