Job Title: Production Operator
Pay Rate: $23.85 per hour
Shift Schedule: 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM (with possible overtime)
This role involves working as a key member of our manufacturing team at Land O'Lakes, Inc., performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs and create final high-quality products.
You will gain skills and experience in taking raw materials to produce our final products for customers, including operating machinery and equipment and packaging the final product.
This role is part of our Nutra Blend business, an industry leader in manufacturing and distributing quality vitamins, trace minerals, micro-ingredients, and antibiotic premixes for the feed industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety processes and insist on safe practices for yourself and others.
- Be punctual, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
- Be able to multitask and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Evaluate your work against quality standards and standard operating procedures during the production process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area.
- Collaborate and follow instructions from Leads and Management to accomplish daily work assignments.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Have at least one year of work experience in any industry.
- Hold basic computer and math skills.
- Be able to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Be willing to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication skills, and respect.
Preferred Experience:
- At least one year of manufacturing work experience.
- Machine operation and/or forklift experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements.
- Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Work in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present.
- Required to work scheduled shifts which may include weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime.
