Position Summary :

The Senior-Level Operations Professional is responsible for setting operational targets, developing actionable plans, and optimizing manufacturing systems and production line performance to achieve company objectives.

Responsibilities : include but are not limited to -

Monitor high-volume production environments and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for managerial reporting and decision-making.

Utilize monitoring, ERP, CMMS, and project management software to plan work activities and streamline reporting procedures.

Serve as a subject matter expert on company equipment, processes, and practices, effectively communicating with corporate customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies through meetings, walkthroughs, and audits.

Diagnose process issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective action plans.

Foster a collaborative and best-in-class work culture by promoting interdepartmental cooperation, team-building, and cross-training initiatives.

Evaluate team performance, identify high-potential talent, and create clear career paths for exceptional employees.

Manage staffing needs, collaborating with HR on hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning.

Oversee project implementation to ensure a net positive ROI with a target goal of three years or less, while adhering to production operations budgets.

Develop and maintain safe working conditions to achieve a Total Incident Rate (TIR) of less than 1.

Implement and manage procedures to meet regulatory requirements and critical business needs, achieving a First Time Right rate above 90%.

Coordinate with maintenance and facilities teams to ensure equipment operates at peak performance, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Escalate critical issues to senior leadership as needed, providing clear and actionable insights to support decision-making.

Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to set goals, resolve conflicts, and improve organizational effectiveness.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, process control, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction, achieving a fill rate above 97%.

Optimize operational metrics such as run-to-target and OEE by setting goals, coaching staff, and outlining paths to achieve objectives.

Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to enhance departmental performance.

Act as a role model exemplifying superb ethical conduct, decision making, teamwork, integrity, agility, respect, and accountability.

Other responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required.

Master’s degree preferred.

10 years’ experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, or a highly regulated industry.

Proven experience with equipment installation, maintenance, and relevant engineering tasks.

Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams or projects.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :

Comprehensive understanding of cGMPs and US FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong prioritization, multitasking, and project management abilities.

Demonstrated leadership and team-building expertise.

Capability to make informed, high-pressure decisions in critical situations.

Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Financial acumen and ability to align operations with business objectives.

Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of efficiency and accountability.

Advanced understanding of complex equipment functionality.

Flexibility and adaptability to evolving processes and requirements.

Strong follow-up and commitment to driving projects to successful completion.

Physical Demands :

Required to use hands to operate computer controls.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, ability to focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear or walk for long periods. The employee may lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions :

Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) responding to production needs.

Required to be present in the office to provide immediate supervision to direct reports, and collaborate with directors, peers, and other departments daily.

Work environment in production operations facilities include proximity to heavy machinery and pharmaceutical powders, with exposure to loud noises.

Potential to move between production operations sites / areas to complete job functions; regular, ongoing travel throughout geographic areas on a continual basis as normal scope of role.

Hours / Travel maybe subject to change based on management / company discretion.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • May supervise operations employees.

Personal Protective Equipment or Attire Required for Position :

  • As needed.
  • Pay Range :

    225,000 - $250,000 per year
