A well-established manufacturer in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area is seeking a Process Engineer to support and optimize its metal stamping and injection molding operations. This onsite, full-time role is critical to improving process reliability, reducing waste, and ensuring high-quality production outcomes.
This position offers a hands-on opportunity to partner with tooling engineers, production teams, and quality professionals to refine manufacturing methods and drive measurable process improvements.
First Shift; Direct Hire; $90-100K (always negotiable based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Develop, document, and optimize stamping and molding processes across prototyping and production.
Collaborate closely with tooling and design teams to support the implementation and validation of new tools.
Troubleshoot process-related issues, adjust machine parameters, and implement data-driven solutions.
Monitor and improve production performance, including cycle times, yield, and uptime.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including scrap reduction and lean manufacturing efforts.
Create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and setup instructions.
Train operators and production staff on best practices for tooling and process operation.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards.
Support the development and execution of preventive maintenance strategies for tooling and related equipment.
Act as a subject matter resource on process capability, optimization, and performance improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a process engineering, stamping, or molding role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production workflows and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD platforms is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze data, and drive process efficiency.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, production, and quality.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
