What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Robotics Technician position at Contractor Service and Fabrication, Inc.?
Responsible for installing, maintaining, & troubleshooting automated robotics systems to ensure efficient and safe plant operations. This role requires a strong understanding of robotics, automation technologies, and the specific processes within chemical manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years repair & Installation experience in varied Industrial, Electrical, & Instrumentation & Controls Systems.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with configuring, debugging, & testing PLC & Ethernet Connections
- Experience utilizing networks using DeviceNet, Profibus, ProfiNet, EtherNet, & EtherNet I/P
- Experience with PLC protocols for Allen Bradley, RS Logix, & some Siemens
- The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail oriented, self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a team environment or independently/unsupervised
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow & adhere to departmental & company safety policies and procedures
- Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting & programming is a requirement
- ABB & Fanuc Robot experience
- Must pass a respirator FIT test
- Maintain detailed activities, system configurations and any modifications made to equipment or software
- Develop & maintain good working relationships with all other departments to ensure effective execution of responsibilities
- Ensure all robotic systems comply with safety regulations and standards implementing necessary safeguards
- Attention to detail with a meticulous approach to task, ensuring accuracy & safety in all operations
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around fabrication facilities for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional climbing, kneeling, and crouching to inspect work areas and equipment.
- Work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and industrial hazards.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating equipment, tools, and computer systems.
- Visual acuity to read blueprints, specifications, and monitor production quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy or active industrial environment.
