The “Silver Tsunami” is in full effect, with Baby Boomers retiring and their businesses needing a succession plan.

Their businesses have been run for decades, many at a healthy profit, but alas, they have been overlooked by institutional investors.

And since many Millennials are focused on becoming YouTube stars and not wanting to own their parent’s landscaping company (even if it’s making millions) these Boomers are forced to either close or sell their business.

Therein lies our opportunity.

We call them “Boring Businesses”. They are your local laundromats, car washes, pool cleaning routes, handyman services, etc.–the unsexy blue-collar businesses that no one thinks about but everyone needs. And boy are they profitable.

Position Overview

Codie Sanchez is looking for a YouTube Producer to take her content to the next level. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes YouTube, thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, and is eager to grow. Reporting to the Head of Production, you'll be responsible for developing, directing, and optimizing high-performing YouTube content that captivates our audience and drives growth.

This is a full-time, onsite role in Austin, TX, with travel requirements to cover amazing stories of entrepreneurs and owners all over the United States. If you’re obsessed with storytelling, audience growth, and crafting viral video concepts, keep reading.

What You'll Do

• Pre-Production Coordination: Oversee all logistics leading up to a shoot, ensuring everything is in place for a seamless production. This includes finalizing shot lists, confirming shoot strategy based on title, thumbnail, and hook, and preparing detailed production plans.
• Location & Equipment Readiness: Scout and secure filming locations, coordinate with crew, and ensure all necessary equipment is available and appropriate for the shoot specs.
• Crew & Talent Coordination: Communicate with all involved parties—camera operators, lighting techs, on-screen talent—to ensure everyone is aligned and fully prepared.
• Day-of Shoot Management: Oversee on-set execution, keeping the production on schedule, problem-solving in real time, and ensuring the vision is properly executed.
• Streamlining Post-Production: Make smart pre-production decisions that minimize unnecessary editing work, ensuring efficiency in the content pipeline without being directly responsible for post-production.
• Attention to YouTube Execution Strategy: While not responsible for ideation, ensure every production decision aligns with the intended title, thumbnail, and video hook to maximize engagement.

What We’re Looking For

• 2-3 years of experience creating and managing content for YouTube, with a strong understanding of audience engagement and trends.
• A creative storyteller who who thinks in high-impact videos and viewer retention.
• Experience with running a set and making real-time creative decisions.
• Strong research skills—able to find trending topics, viral hooks, and unique storytelling angles.
• Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high creative standards.
• A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in business/finance content is a plus, but YouTube expertise is the priority.
