What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Security - 1st Shift position at Controlled Force?
An armed security guard will uphold safety and security protocols and safeguard personnel, property, and assets within the designated premises while maintaining a vigilant and proactive stance against potential threats and hazards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide access control.
- Foot patrol
- Alarm monitoring-assessing
- Report writing
- Protecting government personnel and property
- Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Three years of security experience
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Have obtained an associate degree.
- Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve service
- Completion of a Law Enforcement Training Academy
Additional Requirements:
- At least 21 Years of age
- Must be a US Citizen
- Clean credit and criminal history
- Able to pass a physical exam / Drug screen / and a federal background investigation.
- Speak and be literate in English to the extent of writing, reading, and understanding printed regulations, orders, instructions, etc.
- Driver's License (Required)
- Handgun permit (Required)
- Guards must complete firearms, pepper spray, and expandable baton qualifications.
- Guards must be trained and current in CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Must be proficient with semi-auto handguns.
