Job Description: As a Lead Solar Installer, you will oversee and execute solar system installations, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard, on time, and in full compliance with safety protocols. You will supervise a team of installers, manage project logistics, and work closely with project managers and customers to deliver exceptional service. Your expertise in electrical systems and solar installations will be key to ensuring successful and efficient system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the installation of solar energy systems for residential clients ranging from 10 KWH to 80 KWH system size.
- Supervise and train a team of solar installers, providing guidance and support to ensure quality work.
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards, codes, and company procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with electrical systems and solar components such as Q cable, junction boxes and combiner boxes.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct system tests and inspections to confirm proper functioning and compliance with regulations.
- Provide technical expertise during project planning and on-site execution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for the team.
- Maintain and complete accurate documentation for each project, including inspections, permits, and equipment used.
- Communicate effectively with clients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding the solar system installation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar installations and electrical work.
- Proven experience leading teams in solar or electrical installations.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, solar panel technologies, and industry codes.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, system integration, and electrical wiring for solar systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with both residential and commercial solar systems.
- Experience with project management or coordinating installation schedules.
- OSHA certification or other safety-related credentials.
