About the role
Critical parts of the job
- Assist with creating actionable deliverables to facilitate the success of the assigned program, including sponsor/leadership roadmap, program or project plan, business requirements, user requirements, and communications.
- Own the full lifecycle of a project from initiation through completion.
- Prioritize tasks, communicate deliverables, ensure the team stays on target with budgets and deadlines, and regularly communicate with senior leadership on project status.
- Play an active role in remediating project issues when they arise.
- Coordinate, plan, and facilitate virtual, hybrid, and in-person stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare agendas for any workshops related to accomplishing project goals.
- Analyze project performance to find efficiency gaps and collaborate with senior client leadership to standardize and improve workflows.
- Provide visibility into project data, including risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and cost avoidance opportunities to enable rapid decision-making by stakeholders.
- Proactively work to mitigate project dependencies, risks, and issues associated with the program, engaging senior leadership where necessary.
- Manage third-party vendors and project personnel to track issues, manage through interdependencies, and progress the overall transformation forward.

Skills, Education & Abilities
The Must-Haves
- An experienced project manager who understands the approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- A self-motivated strategic thinker and doer with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- An inquisitive project leader able to understand the functions of Supply Chain, Acquisitions & Divestitures, or Finance organizations within a large enterprise.
- A customer-centric focus with the ability to build strong relationships with people.
- The ability to juggle competing priorities and be flexible to changing priorities and demands on their time.
- 3 or more years of direct project management experience within a business unit or team.
- Possess the ability to run complex projects with 5 or more people.
- Have previous experience managing a project’s scope and profitability.
- Experience in working within the medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in workshop facilitation, including familiarity with Design Thinking concepts
- Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Workfront.
- Proficiency with agile tools such as Jira and Trello.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a STEM field is preferred.
- PMI or other formal project management methodology knowledge is preferred.
- Desire to work at high levels of an organization and work on the details of a project.
- Previous experience in consultancy is helpful.
