We seek an experienced and dedicated Safety Specialist with a strong background in construction safety, building electrical systems, and OSHA 30 certification. This role demands a proactive approach to safety, extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, and the ability to work closely with construction teams to mitigate risks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs tailored to construction projects, focusing on electrical safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and industry standards. Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable safety laws and regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments for construction projects, particularly those involving electrical systems. Work with project managers and engineers to develop safe work practices and procedures.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits. Prepare and submit reports to management on safety performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety, with a focus on electrical safety. Experience with large-scale construction projects is preferred.
- Certifications: Additional certifications in electrical safety, first aid, and other relevant areas are highly desirable.
