Role Purpose: We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team and support the Record-to-Report (RTR) workstream in the implementation of a new finance ERP system. This role will focus primarily on project accounting within the RTR cycle, ensuring smooth project execution and financial reporting from start to finish.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial tracking, reporting, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation through to completion. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in a major financial systems transformation and work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Key Focus Areas:
Project accounting within the Record-to-Report (RTR) process, ensuring accurate financial reporting for projects.
Managing General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Budgets, and Banking/Cash Settlement as part of the overall project accounting framework.
Supporting the financial aspects of the ERP system implementation, ensuring alignment of project accounting processes with system capabilities.
Assisting in the tracking, reporting, and forecasting of project costs and budgets throughout the implementation of the new ERP system.
Process improvement and standardization within project accounting to ensure consistency and efficiency in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Track and report on financial performance for projects, ensuring alignment with budgeted costs and forecasts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project costs are accurately captured and reported within the General Ledger.
Assist in requirements gathering and process mapping related to project accounting systems and procedures.
Help drive process improvements and ensure project accounting processes are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure that all project accounting transactions are compliant with internal controls and financial policies.
Provide insights and recommendations on cost control and budget management to project managers and finance leadership.
Ideal Candidates:
A Project Accountant with experience managing financials within the RTR cycle, particularly in project tracking, cost reporting, and budget forecasting.
Strong understanding of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Budgets, and Banking/Cash Settlement processes.
Experience in financial systems implementations, preferably with an ERP system.
