Ministry Function
The Community Care Project Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by establishing and coordinating services that contribute to healthy relationships with ministry partners both locally and regionally. This position assists with both engagement and collaboration among local like-minded organizations in communities where Community Care is working.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicates and engages with Community Care partners.
- Processes order requests and other electronic communications.
- Works closely with Fulfillment, Supply Chain, and Transportation partners to provide excellent service to partner agencies/organizations.
- Supports the efforts of the Community Engagement team through collaboration where overlap and ministry opportunities exist.
- Coordinates and facilitates efforts with team members at other Convoy of Hope distribution centers to create and serve local partners and partnerships.
- Maintains proper records of communications and documentation as per audit standards.
- Fulfills other duties as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two or more years of compassion ministry experience is preferred.
- Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills for adequately conveying the work of Convoy of Hope to outside constituencies.
- Possesses ability to use a PC/Mac and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Workspace.
- Demonstrates organizational skills at the level needed to effectively coordinate multiple tasks, requests, and correspondence on behalf of team and projects.
- Exhibits strong organizational skills for handling several projects at one time.
- Displays excellent interpersonal communication skills for dealing with teammates, pastors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
- As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may have supervisory responsibilities over volunteers.
