What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eurasia Field Operations Director position at Convoy of Hope?
Ministry Function: The Eurasia Region Field Operations Director (FOD) supports the Ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by providing management and leadership of COH’s operations within the Eurasia Region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight to Children’s Feeding (CF), Women’s Empowerment (WE) and Agriculture (AG) initiatives in assigned countries within the Eurasia region, ensuring that programming aligns with COH Global Program (GP) standards.
- Collaborate with the Eurasia Regional Leader and Middle East Project Manager in developing integrated program activity, scalable growth, budget projections, and in defining the operational objectives to be achieved in relation to the general strategy for the region.
- Develop relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to support the successful implementation of COH programs in Eurasia.
- Manage partnerships within assigned countries, including field visits that involve program monitoring, relationship building, and alignment of strategy and vision.
- In collaboration with partners, align operational practices to ensure compliance with all in-country laws/regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide coordination and oversight of grants applicable to Eurasia countries of assignment.
- Collaborate with the Eurasia Regional Leader in identifying and assessing new program opportunities and field offices through the development of program/project proposals.
- Manage the new country launch process in alignment with COH’s New Country Launch Committee.
- Analyze the efficiency of operations and strategies through the continuous evaluation and optimization of processes, both internal and external.
- As a member of the Global Program team, supports other programs as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Post-graduate university degree in international development, business, or relevant field preferred, Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7 years of work experience in relevant fields required.
- 5 years of team leadership required.
- Experience in international development or within the international sector preferred.
- Strong organizational leadership skills with effective project management outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Cross-cultural experience required, including international travel and international residency.
- Ability to creatively navigate programming in complex geopolitical environments.
- Understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the humanitarian and development sector.
- Experience working effectively across teams and handling complex multi-stakeholder relationships.
- Experience with program monitoring including development of indicators, data collection tools and methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation.
- Ability and willingness to travel to field sites within Eurasia required, and other regions as needed.
- Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
- Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
