Marketing Cloud Manager

Ministry Function:

The Marketing Cloud Manager serves Convoy of Hope by leading a high-performing, data-driven marketing automation team. This role is responsible for researching, designing, maintaining, and regularly reporting on multichannel marketing automations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Serves as the Marketing Cloud expert for Convoy of Hope.
2. Works closely with other technical positions at Convoy of Hope, such Salesforce experts and website developers, to architect new automations and solve problems related to existing ones.
3. Successfully leverages the entire Marketing Cloud suite, with a heavy emphasis on Email Studio and Journey Builder, to execute a multichannel marketing strategy.
4. Stays up to date on best practices and regulations — particularly those related to SMS and email — as well as Salesforce Marketing Cloud updates and MarTech offerings.
5. Regularly reviews data to ensure and increase campaign effectiveness.
6. Responsible for maintaining a good sender reputation with email service providers and successful email deliverability.
7. Provides regular reports and data-informed suggestions to improve marketing efforts.
8. Work closely with internal key stakeholders to design scalable and personalized marketing automation roadmaps that improve and enhance the donor experience.
9. Create and codify standard operating procedures and change logs related to marketing automations, keeping detailed records of both for current and future teammates.
10. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field is required.
2. Three or more years of Marketing Cloud automations experience required.
3. Five or more years of demonstrated marketing experience required.
4. Possesses strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
5. Displays strong attention to detail and communication skills.
6. Exhibits the ability to prioritize projects.
7. Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills in person and in writing.
8. Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
9. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
10. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
11. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
