Beginnings Preschool is accepting applications for an Early Childhood Development Specialist. The ECDS is responsible for the overall curriculum development and developmental assessment of children served in the Center. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree with ONE of the following:
1. Current Arkansas state certification in Early Childhood Special Education
2. A Current Child Development Associate Certificate or
3. 12 hours of completed college courses in one of the following areas – early childhood, child development, special education/elementary education, or child and family studies, and documented experience in working with children with special needs.
Childcare for staff's children aged 6 weeks to preschool is provided as a benefit for employment with CCCEC.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to early childhood education standards.
- Provide individualized support and intervention for children with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents about child development and progress.
- Conduct assessments to monitor children's growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational strategies and practices.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere for all students.
Applicant must submit to background and drug screenings.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 18 per week
