OVERVIEW
Lead the preparation of payrolls and oversee related functions with expertise. Assist with the implementation and advanced support for CDS TimeKeeper, WorkforceHUB, and associated products. Be flexible to meet the needs of clients and firm. Seasonal overtime is required, particularly during year-end payroll reporting season (Mid-December through January). Be flexible to meet the needs of the firm where possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare client payrolls and related payroll reports and deposits timely, accurately, and efficiently
- Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations, reports, and W-2 forms
- Assist with the implementation and support of CDS TimeKeeper, WorkforceHUB, and related products
- Maintain and update client payroll records
- Keep informed of current & upcoming payroll issues and law changes
- Provide excellent client service
- Administrative duties including mailings, scanning, typing, and copying
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to payroll systems and technology, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Assist with developing and implementing new client services
- Assist with firm initiatives
- Engage in proactive client-facing interactions, adeptly troubleshooting and resolving issues while maintaining clear and effective communication channels
- Navigate through challenges, ensuring seamless resolution and fostering strong client relationships
- Actively involved in community, volunteer and/or industry organizations, preferable in a leadership role
- Attend training and development opportunities to develop interpersonal and professional expertise

- Promote CDS payroll and additional firm services
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Occasional out-of-town travel to other office locations
QUALIFICATIONS
- AA degree or 1-2 years related experience
- Payroll preparation experience and knowledge preferred
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills
- Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
- Effective, timely, and professional communication skills
- Flexible, team player, who is also self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Desire to continue to develop and enhance skills
- Exceptional time management skills, ability to organize and prioritize projects and meet deadlines

- The wage range for this position is $24 - $28 per hour
