Job Summary
Under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor/Assistant Payroll Supervisor, performs a variety of payroll functions including reviewing and reconciling timesheet and payroll reports from the respective County Departments. Enters payroll data into the enterprise resource planning system (ERP). Ensures balances are accurate in the ERP. Process the bi-weekly payroll for assigned payroll groups. Verify the calculation of settlements and CBA agreements for the assigned payroll group. Calculates Military leave pay for employees serving in the Armed Forces. Assists with the payroll costing journal process, the payroll tax process, yearend process and the maintaining of payroll policies and procedures, perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Characteristics
Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate SUPPLEMENTED WITH six
- years' full-time payroll work experience is required.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree supplemented by four
- years full-time paid payroll work experience is required.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree SUPPLEMENTED WITH two (2) years' full-time payroll work experience is required.
- One (1) year experience utilizing an ERP system.
- One (1) year experience utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
