Overview
The Capital Equipment Specialist supports product management and the sales team in maximizing opportunities throughout the life cycle of the products, in line with business plan goals.
The Urology division of Cook Medical focuses on the diagnostic and therapeutic products with an emphasis on stone management, oncology, voiding dysfunction, and pelvic health.
Product line includes ureteral access sheaths, dilation and occlusion balloon catheters, ureteral and urethral stents, stone extraction devices, biopsy needles and forceps, drainage catheters, lasers, and lithotripters.
This role must be based in the U.S. preferably near a major airport.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical support, training and updates to customers and to internal groups on designated product line through in-service training, literature, videos, and articles approved by the company• Support new product launches, including assisting with creation of training materials, training programs, presentations, and ongoing field support• Support Product Development in the field with clinical evaluations and trials, clinical and commercial launches, evaluations and prototype testing• Support and perform field and market analyses; help identify customer opportunities for key products• Support and develop relationships with key clinical and non-clinical decision-makers to clinically support product lines• May spend up to one week per month in plant facility• Maintain knowledge of SBU product lines, clinical procedures, business ethics and other educational and compliance requirements• Handle product returns, samples, consignment stock and any other areas as appropriate• Attend meetings and exhibitions outside of normal office hours and on weekends as required• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements• Maintain regular and punctual attendance• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards• Must have effective oral and written communication skills • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision• Ability to remain calm and receptive in
Qualifications
Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in related field, or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking the English language and other languages as required• General business math skills• Experience training others• Experience in communication and interpersonal interactions with key customers• Excellent complex problem solving skills• Microsoft Office proficiency required• Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills• Must have excellent organizational skillsPhysical Requirements/Work Environment:• International and domestic travel as required, up to 75%• Subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA, must be (a) physically capable of operating a motor vehicle on a regular basis, (b) a holder of a valid driver's license, and (c) in good standing to legally operate a motor vehicle• Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds or more• Sit for extended periods, utilize close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
