Overview

Responsible for people and business leadership for the Endoscopy Bleed Management product line. Can be Hybrid or Remote based in any Region. Current experience on the Cook Endoscopy product management team is required.

 

Responsible for the total product lifecycle (TPLC) and business goals for assigned product line(s). Assist in developing and leading execution of the strategy for assigned product line(s) in alignment with specialty, division and company business goals, vision and strategy.

Ensure the assigned product line(s) and team is efficient, effective, and compliant in meeting the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders and communicate those needs to Division leadership.Lead, coach, develop and evaluate a small to mid-sized product management team, and ensure all team members are acting in support of company values and goals.

 

Responsibilities

Work closely with other leaders within the Division, company Functions, and Operational Units to implement the product line(s) strategy and ensure consistency in priorities, policies, compliance, processes, structure, and projects.

Responsible for the assigned product line(s) from feasibility through commercialization including the product idea development process, opportunity assessments to evaluate future products and line extensions, and supporting and collaborating with Research and Development (R&D) throughout the product development process.Collaborate with specialty leadership to establish and drive aligned business goals and strategy across specialty product porfolio(s).

Responsible for short and long-term product portfolio(s) plans and alignment of the plans with marketing, sales, manufacturing and other division leadership. Plan and execute efficient product roll-outs through collaboration with strategic marketing, product launch teams, sales, commercial business, regulatory, R&D, and manufacturing. Lead and complete large and complex projects in a timely manner for planned and unplanned product specific events including, but not limited to, product launches, backorders and recalls, through collaboration with strategic marketing, sales, commercial business, regulatory, R&D, and manufacturingIn collaboration with the commercial business team, continuously evaluate and improve profitability for the assigned product portfolio(s) through development of the product pricing strategy and supply chain effectiveness. Monitor key metrics in line with company and Division financial objectives.

Ensure availability and efficiency of assigned product portfolio(s) during the entire product lifecycle, facilitate collaboration with functional teams and contribute to developing product retirement strategies when necessary.Identify issues or opportunities with assigned product portfolio(s) and systems that may have potential impact on our company brand and/or reputation and communicate those to leadership.

Provide input on project resource estimates and collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate project risks. Collaborate with Human Resources in the process of hiring, developing, and retaining a high performing, diverse workforce. Establish and maintain strong team communication through regular interactions and meetings. and ensure the team is aware of division and company mission, vision, purpose, and business strategy and overall company status and news.

Ensure roles and responsibilities, performance expectations, and training requirements are developed and clearly documented and communicated to each employee. Cultivate a safe, secure, and supportive environment where employees can thrive, and morale is maintained.Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differencesProvide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback, both formally through the performance management process and informally through daily discussions and interactions, while recognizing employees for their contributions. Work with each team member on a unique development plan including strengths, areas to improve, and career goals that is reviewed and revised on a quarterly basis.Responsible for performance and wage reviews for team members.Meet deadlines and ensure employees complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgements, submission of performance reviews, etc. in a timely manner.

Within scope of responsibility, ensure all quality, regulatory, compliance and product specific requirements are met.

Understand and be accountable for conducting Cook business with integrity and in compliance with applicable standards including Cook policies.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

College degree in related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.

Prior Global Product Management experience managing individual or multiple product lines.

Minimum 7 Years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to, product management,  engineering, sales and/or marketing.

Advanced degree (Masters or MBA or equivalent) may reduce the years of experience requirement.

Demonstrates practical knowledge and/or experience in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.Demonstrates advanced level knowledge of multiple  aspects of product management (e.g. clinical, technical, business acumen, etc.) within applicable product portfolios and market(s).

Demonstrated experience developing and executing product strategies and plans that drive business goals.

Demonstrated positive and productive working relationships with sales, marketing, engineering, operations and/or other relevant company teams.

Demonstrated leadership ability.

Effective oral and written communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or equivalent in the medical device industry.Prior people management experienceDemonstrates strong leadership skills.Models the company standards that others are expected to follow.Demonstrates positive and constructive behaviors that drive team cooperation in achieving objectives.Demonstrates excellent communication, leadership, and presentations skills.Excel in a highly collaborative team setting.Demonstrates the ability to think strategically.Actively involved in mentoring peers within current department.Active participant/presenter/leader in meetings, conference calls, and/or training activities.

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:Ability to travel internationally, domestically and weekends as needed up to 50%.Work under general office environmental conditions.
