Are you a small law firm or solo practiconer looking to supplement your firm's revenue without comitting to an excessive amount of additional hours. We are seeking of-counsel attorneys to partner with our firm in Washington.
We are a growing personal injury law firm headquartered in Arizona. We have several attorneys who are licensed in Washington State and we are currently representing many Washington clients, our firm is seeking to expand our Washington practice and is looking for local attorneys to assist us. We are looking for Washington attorneys experienced in handling pre-litigation personal injury cases and experienced in litigation.
We are looking to pay 3% of all attorney fees earned in Washington up to a maximum of $200,000.00 per year. We fully expect to hit the $200,000.00 cap as we are planning on a multi-million dollar investment into the State of Washington.
We are planning on handling the majority of work here at our headquarters, and for the of-counsel attorney to be used only when necessary to meet with clients, either telephonically or at a Tacoma office, as well as other in-person matters. This time will not exceed 50 hours per month. All work on our clients will be covered by our Errors and Omissions insurance.
Outside of this agreement, there would be additional opportunities to litigate cases for an additional percentage that can be worked out on a case by case basis.
Duties
- Provide general counsel to clients regarding personal injury claims resulting from motor vehicle accidents
- Provide local legal support to out-of office staff members
- Ocassionally speak and meet with clients either on the phone or in person about their case.
Experience
- A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of Washington and be in good standing.
- Experience in personal injury claims, both pre-litigation and litigation.
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
- Ability to work independently
