What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Injury Paralegal position at Cook Law Office, PLLC?
The Cook Law Office, PLLC is looking for an experienced paralegal for personal injury cases for our Tacoma, Wa office. We are seeking a talented and experienced individual that has the capacity to work independently and handle cases with minimal supervision.
We require previous experience as a personal injury paralegal in the state of Washington. Experience in litigation matters including complaints, pleadings, discovery, etc. is also essential to this position.
Litigation duties include:
- Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court
- Ensure parties are timely and properly served.
- Calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics.
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests and depositions
- Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
- Aid with case settlements.
- Prepare pleadings.
- Maintain contact with opposing counsel.
- Prepare mediation memos and other mediation materials.
- Draft subpoenas.
Job Requirements
- Personal Injury Litigation Experience
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use Microsoft word and Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 per year
