Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Banking Analyst to join our team. As an IB Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our investment banking division through financial analysis, market research, financial modeling, and the preparation of client presentations. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with exposure to senior bankers and clients, providing a unique opportunity to build a career in investment banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Develop and maintain financial models (DCF, LBO, Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transactions) to support client pitches and transaction processes.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough industry research, competitive analysis, and due diligence to provide insights that inform client strategies and deal structures.
- Client Presentations & Reports: Assist in the preparation of pitch books, presentation materials, and transaction-related documentation, including memorandums and client reports.
- Transaction Execution: Support the execution of mergers & acquisitions (M&A), debt and equity offerings, and other capital markets transactions by conducting financial analysis, preparing documents, and liaising with clients, legal advisors, and other parties involved in the deal.
- Data Analysis: Analyze historical financial data, company performance, and market trends to provide insights and recommendations for clients.
- Administrative Support: Provide general support to senior bankers, including scheduling meetings, managing communications, and handling ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field. CFA or other relevant certifications (e.g., FMVA) are a plus.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in investment banking, finance, consulting, or a similar fast-paced, analytical role. Internships in finance or banking are also beneficial.
- Skills:
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and handle a variety of projects at once.
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis.
