What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseparent position at COOKSON HILLS FAMILY MINISTRIES OF FLORIDA INC?
Being a houseparent is both rewarding and challenging. Our houseparents are the backbone to our ministry. They provide homes for at-risk youth as well as their own children if applicable.
Primary Duties: To provide a Christian nurturing family environment for children that are placed in the program of Family Ministries where children will learn the value of work hard, play hard, and pray hard. To provide corrective discipline when necessary that will aid in building the child‘s self-esteem. To complete monthly paperwork in a timely fashion.
To provide oversight and management of the chores inside the home. The chores include but are not limited to cleaning of the home, laundry, kitchen chores, cooking, etc.
To provide oversight and management of the chores outside of the home. These chores include but are not limited to mowing, weeding, washing the van, and general outside management.
Secondary Duties: All staff have secondary duties to aid in the operation of Family Ministries. These duties can include but are not limited to physical plant, food storeroom, in kind donations, office assistance, LCA assistance, etc.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Married for 5 years
Members of a New Testament Christian Church
Responsible to the Director of Child Care
Annual Training: 40 hours per year
