About the Role: The Warehouse/Delivery Driver holds a critical role in supply chains, responsible for the accurate transport of goods. Their duties include loading/unloading, maintaining vehicle safety, and adhering to traffic regulations. Beyond logistics, they serve as the frontline representatives, requiring strong communication and customer service skills. The position demands a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver material and inventory accurately and efficiently avoiding unnecessary deliveries
- Make sure daily that all trucks are gassed, clean and restocked before the end of the scheduled shift
- Manage vehicle maintenance to maintain safe driving
- Clean all trucks weekly
- Keep warehouse, garage and parking lot clean and organized
- Follow all procedures and administrative duties by deadline as assigned by Dispatch, Operations Manager or Warehouse/Fleet Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must hold or be able to obtain a DoT medical certificate
- Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC helpful but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to drive safe, obey all traffic laws and operate vehicles in a safe manner
- Ability to use GPS and cell phone effective for efficiency and safety
- Ability to communicate professionally with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to follow directions for product assembly and other warehouse projects
