What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cool Dog Companion position at Cool Runners Doggy Daycare?
The Cool Team
Want to work at the coolest doggy daycare in town? It's sort of an inside joke/play on words, and it's definitely a long story if you let our owners tell it - like, they started a sled dog team in Missouri a long time ago and slowly everything led to the creation of Cool Runnners Doggy Daycare.
So yeah, now that that's out of the way, let's get to the fun stuff.
We're looking for someone with an enthusiastic attitude who also has a creative streak. You'll be working with dogs so you're probably thinking, "why do I have to be creative?" Well, that's kind of our thing - once you meet us you'll get the vibe. You also have to be fun(ny), no one wants to work with a stick in the mud. At least not here. Side note: If you are a stick in the mud you can always apply at the DMV.
The Cool(est) Job You'll Ever Have
As mentioned above, you'll be working with dogs - so it's already pretty awesome. You don't need any experience in the animal field because we'll coach you. Just bring a good attitude, a strong work ethic and desire to learn and you'll do just fine with us.
And if you have a dog it's even more awesome, nothing beats going to work with your best buddy. It is the best.
You'll be working outside so on nice days you can't beat it, but we do live in Missouri, so it can also be kinda miserable when it's really cold or really hot. Our number one priority is keeping the dogs safe and they don't exactly make it easy since they play with their teeth.
You'll get to be creative and toss out fun ideas. We love change and input from those who work here. Our vision is to be the coolest doggy daycare, not temperature wise, the other cool. Like innovative cool, we want to be the trendsetter. Like a lead dog, not the followers, trust us: the view is much better as the lead dogs (sled dog reference).
Anyways, the job is hard and dirty but it's rewarding. You'll get pee'd on, probably get poop flung at you by a running dog. You'll go home covered in dog hair and smelling like a wet dog, but it sure beats sitting at a desk all day (see DMV above).
Cool Runners is evolving, so if you don't like change, innovation, pushing for personal growth or thinking outside the box, it may not be the job for you. You'll be on your feet all day too.

Experience
No experience necessary. As mentioned above, we will coach you until you are ready to go on your own.
We're not really too concerned with your past jobs, we are much more interested in what you are going to do for us and what you want for your future. Feel free to attach a resume if you want - but make it fun. Give us a future resume, where do you see yourself going? What are you adding to our team? To our culture? How can you add fun and safety for the dogs?
We look forward to hearing from you, meeting you and working with you.
