Counsels individuals and provides group educational and vocational guidance services by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Collects, organizes, and analyzes information about individuals through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources, to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personality characteristics, for vocational and educational planning.
•Compiles and studies occupational, educational, and economic information to aid counselees in making and carrying out vocational and educational objectives.
•Consults with teachers, staff and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students learn.
•Refers students to placement service.
•Assists individuals to understand and overcome social and emotional problems.
•Engages in research and follow-up activities to evaluate counseling techniques.
•Teaches classes as needed

•Understanding of group dynamics and group learning activities

Education and/or Experience
Master's degree (M. A.) in Counseling, minimum of two years experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid AZ Guidance Counselor Certificate, Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
Salary Classification:
Appropriate salary placement on the Certified Salary Schedule
Salary : $45,647 - $62,800
